Alex Offerdahl
Managing Partner
Watts and Associates
He brings a one-of-a-kind perspective to crop insurance strategy. As managing partner of Watts and Associates – an agricultural economics consulting firm – he spent over two decades shaping federal crop insurance programs used by producers nationwide.
He helped lead the development of major programs like Margin Protection, Enhanced Coverage Option (ECO) and Margin Coverage Option, which now represent more than $2 billion in premium annually.
With a background rooted in his family’s alfalfa, barley and cattle operation in Northern Montana, Alex combines policy-level insight with real-world ag understanding.
