We kick things off in session one to answer a question people often forget to ask: What does my lender expect from me? This session highlights the factors Compeer uses to determine a borrower’s creditworthiness and actions farms can take to improve their financial management. In this session you’ll learn about the 5 Cs of Credit, financial ratios, and cash flow drivers. We will also look at some tools available to measure and benchmark your farm’s financial performance.

More certainty is something we all desire in 2021. The Compeer Crop Insurance team will provide information on changes for the 2021 crop year which could include to prevent plant rules for the Compeer footprint as well as an update for dairy and livestock insurance. Time will also be spent on a new product that will be available to producers for the 2021 crop year called Enhanced Coverage Option (ECO). Clients will be educated on the concept of “staking” policy options to maximize their risk management for the 2021 crop year.

Many folks took advantage of new programs designed to provide relief through COVID-19 and the resulting economic distress. In this session we’ll cover what you need to know about Paycheck Protection Program forgiveness and Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL) repayment. The team will break down some of the most confusing accounting terminology, give you the ins and outs of different business entities. Finally, in this packed session the Appraisal team will share what’s happened with land values in our area.

Are you someone who struggles in determining the cost of production for your operation? Don’t worry, you’re far from alone. This session will take a step by step approach to help simplify finding your cost of production. We will highlight what information to focus on along with resources that may be helpful in determining each of an operation’s variable and fixed costs. Compeer’s Margin Manager tool will be featured as one option producers may use to aide in calculating their cost of production.
